 Summary of Responsibilities:

• Development of project proposals;
• Supervise the construction of base building renovations and tenant improvements
• Development and definition of the scope of work for each project;
• Accurately estimate job costs.
• Formalize construction quotes.
• Formalize constructions contracts.
• Tendering, coordinating and supervising sub-trades and consultants related to individual jobs;
• Acquiring Development and Building permits;
• Maintaining accurate project documentation, including drawings & base building information;
• Identifying and rectifying deficiencies in subcontract work;
• Customer Service;
• Liaison between building management/ownership and construction office;
• Business development;
• Knowledgeable in COR requirements;

 o Manage all assigned work sites

 Summary of Responsibilities:

• Working with the Site Superintendent to manage the project from start to finish
• Adhere to the safe work practice principals of the company
• Develop the scope of work for each project
• Prepares and manages the construction schedule
• Ensure the site is free of debris on a daily basis
• Schedule sub-trades, as required 
• Manage Change Management 
• Knowledge of the Alberta Building Code and Authorities-Having-Jurisdication processes
• Experience in working and managing a Certificate of Recognition (COR) certified company

Title: Estimator

Description:

Centrex Contracting Inc. has an immediate opening for a well qualified estimator to join our vibrate team. As one of the region’s leading full service general contractors, Centrex Contracting specializes in corporate office, retail and medical renovations.

The Estimator will be responsible for the completion of the tender submissions and the quotes to potential clients. You will liaise with clients on requirements, expectations and time frames. You will also work closely with the business development department to ensure that proper estimating information is received by the clients in a timely manner. The successful candidate will have 5-7 years estimating experience with a general contractor working in the office interiors and/or medical interiors field. You must have strong communications and computer skills. A degree in construction management or the equivalent in technical training is an asset.

The scope of work will include but limited to:

Project Management Agreements.

Construction Management Agreements.

Design Build Agreements.

Response to RFP’s.

Creation of RFP’s.

Scheduling.

Insurance/Bonding

Building Permit Applications & Fees.

Waste Management.

LEED Certified Builds.

Safety knowledge.
